On Thursday, the NBBU reached an agreement with trade unions FNV, CNV, and De Unie regarding a new Collective Labour Agreement for temporary agency workers. The new CLA means greater job security and improved pension accrual for temporary agency workers. The CLA will come into effect on 1 January 2022. <\/p>\n

The agreement is the result of a complex process of CLA negotiations and the outcome of intensive and constructive consultation with our partners involved in the NBBU CLA. The agreement has created a situation in which the interests of temporary agency workers<\/a> and those of NBBU members are best served. The NBBU had already agreed to most of the improvements for temporary agency workers in the new CLA earlier this year. Now, the voice of SMEs is also assured a seat at the table for the further elaboration of the SER-MLT advice. <\/p>\n

Significant improvements in contract security and employment conditions<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In the negotiations, the NBBU focused from the outset on prospects and job security for temporary agency workers. All of this was done with sufficient consideration for careful and gradual implementation and good feasibility. In the new CLA, the most flexible phase, phase 1-2, will be shortened to 52 weeks. The total duration of flexible contracts will be extended to 4 years. In addition, the pension scheme for temporary agency workers will be significantly improved, and the hirer’s remuneration will be further expanded. <\/p>\n

In the coming period, the CLA parties will further elaborate on the SER MLT advice. They aim to make further CLA agreements in 2022 for the years 2023 and beyond. The intention is that the SER recommendations will be fully elaborated and implemented in a broadly supported agreement. <\/p>\n

The agreed arrangements will first be submitted to the members of the NBBU. In December, they will have the opportunity to vote on the proposal. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
