About Prins
Prins is a leading company within the internal transport sector and an importer of Kubota diesel engines. The company values technology, considers stock essential, and prefers to create what the customer desires. This includes forklifts, pallet trucks, diesel engines, and wheel loaders. These machines are sold, rented, and maintained from their branches in Maasdijk, Tilburg, and Lympne (United Kingdom). If products do not exist, they are custom-made.
With over a hundred employees, Prins is active every day. More than thirty Service Engineers handle maintenance, there are three lorries for transport, and the company boasts several large warehouses with extensive stock for fast, ‘just-in-time’ delivery. These deliveries take place not only in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom but also in countries such as Belgium, Australia, and the United States.
Role
What will you be doing?
As an Internal Technical Sales Employee – Parts Procurement and Sales at Prins in Maasdijk, you will be central to the purchasing and sales activities for parts. You will support the logistics process by providing technical advice and capitalising on commercial opportunities. No two days are the same; you will constantly switch between technical and administrative tasks to achieve organisational objectives.
Your duties will include:
- Preparing competitive quotations and translating customer requirements into technical solutions
- Addressing specific and complex technical issues
- Purchasing and selling parts, critically assessing technical specifications
- Monitoring the quality of our products and deliveries
- Entering and confirming shipments
- Proactively establishing and optimising your own work procedures
Job Requirements
What you bring:
They are looking for a service-oriented colleague with a significant amount of technical insight. In addition, you possess:
- A completed technical or logistics qualification at MBO level
- Broad knowledge of internal combustion engines, hydraulics, electrical engineering/electronics, and mechanical systems
- Good social and communication skills
- Excellent command of the Dutch language (English or German is a plus)
- Experience with computer systems; knowledge of Microsoft Business Dynamics is a significant advantage
- An accurate work ethic and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
