About the role
As a (junior) screening technician at SchermNed, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of various types of screening systems, insect netting, and ventilation mechanisms. In addition, you will carry out smaller installation tasks where necessary.
You will head out with an experienced all-round service technician. Together, you will form a regular team, providing service and maintenance for a wide range of projects. Your colleague will teach you the tricks of the trade, allowing you to further develop into an independent technician. With your eagerness to learn and your commitment, you will ensure that malfunctions are resolved, maintenance is performed correctly, and customers are left satisfied.
To enable you to carry out your work effectively and safely, you will be provided with professional workwear and will work with modern equipment and tools. Furthermore, there is significant investment in your development. This includes training courses and certificates such as:
- VCA (Health and Safety)
- MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) certificate
- Forklift certificate
- Welding course
- Trailer driving licence
Requirements
What are we looking for?
- A completed vocational (VMBO/MBO) qualification in a technical field, a technical work-study programme (BBL), or relevant technical experience
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- An enthusiastic and eager-to-learn attitude
- You live in or around the Westland region
- You are physically fit and have no fear of heights
- You enjoy learning the trade alongside experienced colleagues

About the organisation
You will join an experienced technical company specialising in screening installations, insect netting, and other technical solutions for sectors including greenhouse horticulture.
The projects are highly diverse. In addition to greenhouse horticulture projects, installations are realised for garden centres, zoos, and large buildings with glass facades. These systems allow customers to optimally control the climate within their buildings.
And after a week of hard work? On Friday afternoons, there is time to catch up with colleagues during the social Friday afternoon drinks.
